Should Australia have a memorial to Aboriginal people ?

On last night’s Radio National program which explores whether or not Australia should have a memorial to Aboriginal people who died in what Henry Reynolds’ says is ‘The Forgotten War’: the war of settlement in Australia.

Reynolds makes the point that we will see a deepening of investment into the ANZAC and military traditions of this country under Abbott’s government. And he says that should involve also recognising those who died in defending ‘Country’ from white invasion/settlement.
