Refugee Settlement Support

Funded under the Department of Social Services ( DSS) Humanitarian Settlement Services, this program provides 6 – 12 months support to newly arrived refugees who are approved for Humanitarian Visas by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.

Initial intensive support is provided with the goal of long term self reliance and independence of arrivals.

Services include: Case Coordination and Management, Accommodation Support and connection with services to assist newly arrived to make valuable connections with the local community.

Ongoing support post the initial intensive 6 -12 months support is provided for up to five (5) years through Settlement Information Services.

Settlement Information Services

Provides information, referral, case coordination and community development to migrants and refugees in their initial 5 years of arrival. Support may take the form of information and referral, group support and support in developing strong links with community support services, recreation and cultural groups..
The service aims to increase clients independence.

Complex Case Support

The Complex Case Support (CCS) Programme delivers specialised and intensive case management services to humanitarian entrants with exceptional needs. TMSG is subcontracted by MDA ltd Brisbane to deliver CCS in Townsville. Referrals are made through Department of Social Services form 1292
