Funded by the Queensland Government and delivered through TMSG’s Intercultural Employment and Business Hub, the Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) initiative provides free training and employment support to assist eligible refugees and migrants develop skills and access local job opportunities.

Through the SQW program, participants are supported to complete Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways course.

As well as the training, this program also provides tailored support based on the individual’s needs, with mentoring and coaching, focusing on improving literacy, numeracy and digital literacy and access to further education pathways and employment based on skills and personal goals.

Participants receive support to develop a resume, cover letter, obtain police checks and other relevant documentation required to access employment or further education.
